Missoula Area Mountain Bike & Gravel Bike Routes
Missoula and the surrounding area offer some of the best mountain bike singletrack and gravel forest service roads anywhere. It’s the reason I moved to Montana and the reason I choose to stay here.
Below is a list of universal TCX files that should work with your tracking device. I’ll add to it over time as I discover more local gems. I’ve ridden these mountain bike and gravel routes myself, so they’re vetted and won’t lead you astray. Trail maintenance and forest service closures do happen, though, so it’s best to download the route to your device. You’ll most likely be out of service and have to think on your feet.
